Nature Summer Day Camps

Enroll HERE
Our summer camps at the Douglas-Hart Nature Center ensure your children receive quality time outdoors daily connecting to nature and their peers through developmentally appropriate and engaging activities.
It is recommended children spend 30-60 minutes a day outdoors. However, the average American child spends about 4 to 7 minutes a day playing outside and over 7 hours a day in front of a screen.
Going outside is important because it . . .
  • Builds confidence
  • Promotes creativity & imagination
  • Teaches responsibility
  • Provides stimulation
  • Encourages physical activity
  • Engages critical thinking skills
  • Reduces stress and fatigue

It is our goal that summer camps spend 50% of camp outside, unless there is inclement weather.
