The native plant sale is Douglas-Hart Nature Center’s largest conservation fundraiser. Over 20 species of Illinois native plants have been grown from seed in our greenhouse. The Douglas-Hart Foundation encourages the community to use native plants when landscaping. These plants are adapted to Illinois' climate, rarely need water (once established), and are beneficial to wildlife.
