Red Maple is a beautiful tree throughout the year, but is the most spectacular in the fall  because it exemplifies great fall color that stands out from the rest.

  • The wood is used to make furniture, flooring, cabinets, paneling, veneer, musical instruments, tool handles, cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden bowls, boxes, and crates

  • Deer feed on the leaves and twigs
  • Squirrels and birds use this tree for nesting and shelter 
  • The Rosy Maple Moth, the Oval-based Prominent, the Orange-humped Maple Worm, and the Maple Looper eat the leaves and need it for their life cycles
