Silver Maple is a beautiful tree in all seasons, but we enjoy it the most in the fall because of the gorgeous fall color.

Why don't trees like jokes?
They are afraid that they will get stumped!
Did you know?
  • The wood is used for furniture, flooring, musical instruments, tool handles, wagons, carts, and rails
  • The sap is used to make syrup. It has the lowest sugar content of the maples used for syrup
  • Native Americans used the sap as a treatment for kidney and liver ailments and as a cough syrup
  • The seeds can be roasted, added to salads and other dishes, or dried and ground into flour
