Certain plants across the property need extra help along the way. Come in around your own schedule to help water plants at any of our three locations. 

Accessibility requirements: be outside, ability to drive an ATV as needed, carry a hose or watering can, attention to detail.

Help us plant for the next season and the next generation! We are looking for people to come and collect specific seeds around The Whiteside Garden.

Adopt-a-Bed

Is there a certain garden bed that stands out to you? Or maybe it's too hard to choose, but you want to help out where it's needed most. Come around your own schedule to water, weed, and care for your own garden bed. 

Accessibility requirements: be outside, walk a mile over rough terrain, bend, dig, plant, water, and prune.

Daylily Research

​Help us geolocate and tag the daylilies located across the garden. This is a huge step in our goal to be registered with The Daylily Society and becoming a botanical garden.

Plant Identification Data

Help us geolocate and mark plants around the garden. This will also help us create informative signs for people to learn more about some of the exotic and rare plants around the garden.

Greenhouse Care
DHNC
Located at our Nature Center Location, plants grown in our heated greenhouse will be planted across all three of our locations. Help plant seed, transplant seedlings, and help these plants get ready to be planted in their new home.
