​Weekend Host

Our hosts manage our centers, allowing the community to have access to our properties on weekends. Background check required.

What are the benefits of being a weekend host?

• Take pride in knowing you are an essential part of allowing the public enjoy the Douglas-Hart's Visitor Center and The Whiteside Garden's Welcome Center on the weekends.
• Work on your own projects at the same time. Many weekend host volunteers do homework, read books, crochet/knit, or other hobby projects while hosting. 
• Meet new people and develop relationships with community members.
• Enjoy the views and sounds of nature which has proven health benefits!

Grant Researcher
Help us update our database of grants. This makes them easier to access and more likely to be utilized when we can use them.

Painting Researcher
Helen had an amazing collection of paintings. Help us research and catalog these pieces.

Tree and Shrub Website Editor
Help us research information about our trees with exhibit signs and create website content for the trees.

Mailings Assistant
Help fold and stuff mailings from our quarterly newsletter to our monthly membership mailings.  

​Accessibility requirements: Ability to bend  wrists and fingers to fold papers, seal envelopes, apply stamps, etc. 

Exhibit Sign Creator
Education is one of our key goals across our foundation. Help us create and design exhibit signs to be displayed indoors and out!
