Special projects are a unique opportunity to take on a specific volunteer job to help us take care of the various activities that happen around the foundation. Each of the projects can be done on your own to fit your schedule. Each project can be done in as little as one hour a week, but please commit to coming in every week to work on your special project. If this is not possible please email volunteer@dhnature.org and we will see if we can work something out.

Because these projects are is so important, those who take them on have the option to receive special recognition. For example, if you take on the Butterfly Garden as a Specialty Garden Steward, you will then have a sign put in the butterfly garden stating "Butterfly Garden is taken care of by our volunteer Butterfly Garden Steward [insert your name]."

If you don't see something below that peaks your interest, but you have a special hobby, task you're wanting to try out, need you want to meet, etc. please email volunteer@dhnature.org and we can create a special project just to fit you (for example, sewing, woodworking, cleaning, etc.)
