World Art Day Competition

This year's theme: Art Blooms in the Garden

World Art Day is April 15, and to celebrate this day, the Douglas-Hart Foundation hosts an annual art competition! Youth, teens, and adults are invited to participate.

Registration opens Monday, March 3, 8am and closes Friday, April 11, 12pm.

Guidelines & Rules:

All mediums are accepted.
All artwork should be no larger than 12 inches by 24 inches and no deeper than 12 inches.
All artists should interpret the annual theme “Art Blooms in the Garden” in their work.
To be entered into the competition, you must complete an online registration form prior to Friday, April 11, 12pm.
Submissions will be sorted into categories by age of the artist. The categories will be: youth (Ages 6-11), teens (age 12-17) and adults (age 18 and over).
Submissions are due by 12pm on Monday, April 14. Submissions must be dropped off at the THE WHITESIDE GARDEN to be included in voting. Drop-off begins Monday, April 7, 8am.
Voting will take place Tuesday, April 15, 9am-3pm at The Whiteside Garden. The submissions will be on display outside at the garden during this time.
The winner of each category will be announced on Earth Day (Tuesday, April 22). All participants will receive a thank you, and the submissions in each category with the most votes will receive a garden themed prize.
